To make things easier to submit a site to the various Search Engines, we recommend AceBit's Hello Engines currently in version 10 for under £100 and this version will allow submission of up to ten different websites (Free version allows submission for two websites).

Also available is the professional version of Hello Engines, called AESOPS 10 which currently costs approximately €350/£280 for an unlimited number of web sites.

Warning! Fake Apple Alert EmailsBe aware, there are fake infected emails alledgedly from Apple circulating currently. Of course, they are NOT from Apple and have no connection to Apple!

One I have received was sent from apple {at} sujacsewing {dot} com and had a subject of "Apple Alert Regarding Your Recent Order" and a link to "View Receipt" which actually links to a self-executing file hosted at notjunkla {dot} com. Various grammatical errors in the body of the email give it away that this is a scam and the aim of the...

Warning! Fake FedEx Tracking Number emailsA number of fake and infected emails alledgedly from Fed-Ex are circulating currently. With a subject of FedEx Tracking Number and the message "FedEx Tracking Click on the tracking number listed below to see shipment details:" in the body of the email. The number given is linked to an auto executing file that will doubtless infect your machine with malware at best and encrypt your computers files at worse and may very well attempt to send your banking details off to the hackers.

The email...

Warning! Bank of America Scan EmailAn infected email alledgedly being sent out by Bank of America entitled Banking Alert stating that This is your Invoice and that Your credit card has been charged for $445.99 or varying amounts and offering a link to "View An Invoice Details here".

Of course this is nothing of the sort, the "Invoice" is in fact an infected file that will auto run once you download it and infect your computer with malware. In this case the file is stored on motoxmom {dot} com and nothing to do with any...

Warning! Fake Endorsement websitesAgain, not an email but this time it's a fake website alleging to offer cryptocurrency investments are dishonestly using the image of Martin Lewis, the founder and editor for moneysavingexpert.com, as an endorsement for their companies.

The adverts using Martin Lewis to promote illicit schemes can be found on social media and other websites. Clicking on the advert takes you to the full article where Martin Lewis image is presented along with fake quotes recommending investments in bitcoin...

Warning! Fake Magazine Advert Debt cold callsVictims receive a telephone call from someone purporting to be a bailiff enforcing a court judgement, attempting to recover funds for a non-existent debt. The fraudsters state the debt originates from the victim not paying a magazine advertisement subscription.

A variety of magazine names and publishers are being used by the fraudsters, who also commonly use the names of certified Bailiff Enforcement Agents such “Scott Davis”, “Stephen King” and “Mark Taylor”. These are names of...

Warning! Online Marketplace Fraud AdviceAction Fraud has received several reports indicating that sellers of items on online marketplace websites are falling victim to fraud by bogus buyers. Typically, the bogus buyers contact the seller wanting to purchase the item for sale and advise they will be sending the requested amount via PayPal or other electronic payment method. The seller then receives a fake, but official looking email stating they have been paid more than the asking price and to send the difference back to the buyer’s...

Wqarning! Overduepayment notice from InvoicelyLatest attempt to scam people is entitled Overdue payment notice from Invoicely which informs me that "This digitally generated electronic mail is just a reminder that the following invoice is currently 2 days overdue". There is then a link to "Get Your Invoice" which in this case links to a satyastore{dot}com url pointing to an auto running file rather than a genuine document.

As ever, never click a link in an unexpected email, especially one that you are not expecting nor from a firm...

Warning! Internet Compromised PhotcallWhilst not an infected email, it is certainly a scam! One of my clients has just been in touch to ask my advice on a phone call he received earlier today.

When he answered the phone, he was greeted by an electronic message to the effect that his "Internet connection had been compromised" and he should Press 1 (on the telephone keypad) to talk to an operator to resolve this issue before his line is disconnected within the next 24 hours.

The caller did not specify which ISP of course, they...

Fake BT Business Invoice eMail ScamYet another fake and infected email circulating, this time alledgedly from BT Business but in fact is apparently sent from evotec{dot}com{dot}gt (which is a Guatemalan domain). This domain is also where the infected files that these scummers hope you will download to infect your computer are in fact stored. Absolutely NOTHING to do with BT of course.

As ever, never click a link in an unexpected email, especially one that you are not expecting nor from a firm you've never heard, these days...
