Looking back on Festival 2012
Wharfedale Festival of Performing Arts 2012
Started on 12th May with junior Musical Theatre vocal classes and finished on the following Saturday with adult vocal classical classes.
Our adjudicators were June Rayner, Ann Warr and Carol Schroder for Speech & Drama, and Stanley Roocroft, MBE, Dr Vivien Pike and Mary Powney on the music side.
On Sunday, we were welcomed to Christchurch, one of our Festival bases, where we held our Special Service of Rededication.
Speech and Drama continued through Monday and Tuesday in as many as three venues at once, with Theatre classes at the Kings Hall on Monday evening and on Tuesday night at the Kings Hall, we had five steel bands, a variety of brass solos and three brass bands.
